El Palmar, is a small village right on the Atlantic Coast about 5km from Conil de la Frontera to one side and 2km to Zahora and further on to Caños de Meca on the other side.

Being within the municipality of Vejer, it is often known as the Vejer Costa and it has remained undeveloped thanks to strict limits on building and is normally free from crowds.

Its sensational golden 8km long beach is known as the surfer’s paradise and the surfers come all year round………

Bars, restaurants and some small shops ensure that the residents and tourists are not missing anything. The look of the town is dominated primarily by Spanish fincas, country houses, the ubiquitous surfers and of course the beauty of the surrounding nature. El Palmar is exciting but also laid back, locals are friendly and used to visitors. The crowd is mixed with all nationalities of Europe.

The variety of sporting activities in El Palmar / Vejer Costa is unlimited. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, horseback riding, golf, mountain biking, hiking, diving and sailing are just some examples. Thanks to the warm climate all year round you can pursue your favorite sport every season.
